It is our desire to provide a quality web site with informative and helpful articles on the Christian Lifestyle.  We deeply desire to call not only the Christian Community back to the fundamental truths of God's Word, but seek to call our society back to its Christian heritage, and value structure.

 

     We firmly believe that God made and owns all of this universe.  The Earth and all of the human race that lives on it are His creation.  Therefore the Bible is applicable to all of the human race, not just the Christian Community.  So we enter the Hyper world to proclaim His Word and to call humanity back to the basics of God's Holy Word.

 

     The message of the Bible is from a loving, compassionate God who created us for his pleasure, and who loves us deeply.  But He does not love sin.  It is God himself who is the originator of the concept of sin, and the definer of it.  In spite of that fact, mankind is constantly seeking to set up their own moral structure and ignore God's rules and requirements.  But we desperately need for God to set these standards for us.  He is "above" us, and "greater" than us, and is really the only one capable of setting such rules.

 

     And He has indeed done that.  He sat up the standards.  Because of this, an action is right because God declares it to be so, or it is wrong because God declares it to be so.  Our opinion is really not relative to the issue.

 

     First Baptist Church’s efforts will be directed towards reconciling us to this understanding.  When we accept His proclamations, and repent of the actions that He has labeled as sinful, He is anxious to forgive us, to redeem us, and claim us for His own.  May this web site help many to find that reconciliation.
